Bio

Dr. Shazida OTD, OTR/L is a Doctor of Occupational Therapy and the founder of Nurturing Beginnings Therapy, an integrative women’s health and pediatric occupational therapy practice in the Tampa Bay area. Her clinical focus includes pelvic floor therapy, pregnancy and postpartum care, fertility and hormonal health, hip and back pain, pediatric development (birth–4 years), and whole-body wellness.

Dr. Sarwar’s approach is rooted in the belief that the body functions as an interconnected system. She integrates hands-on manual therapy, movement and postural retraining, breath work, and nervous system regulation to address both symptoms and their underlying contributors. Her care is gentle, individualized, and deeply focused on restoring function, confidence, and quality of life.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Sarwar has a background in healthcare administration and leadership, which informs her commitment to ethical, evidence-based, and patient-centered care. She is especially passionate about supporting women and families through life’s transitions—pregnancy, postpartum recovery, fertility journeys, and early childhood development—helping them feel informed, supported, and empowered every step of the way.
