Practice Description
My name is Amanda Thompson and I am a physical therapist. I am originally from Humble, TX, where I graduated high school in 2003. I went to Texas A&M, where I received my Bachelors of Science degree in Kinesiology in 2007.
I received my Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree in 2013, as the first graduating class from UNT Health Science Center in Fort Worth.
I met my husband while at Texas A&M in 2004. We married in 2009, and we have 2 beautiful kids, Chase and Natalie.
I was fortunate enough to gain a lot of experience in my first few years out of school, where I work in a rural setting. I am proficient in all areas of physical therapy including orthopedics, neurological conditions, sports medicine and pediatrics. I work with people with chronic pain, fibromyalgia, connective tissue disorders and more.
My passion is woman’s health. I want to work with men and women of all ages in an area less talked about! I aide pregnant and post-partum women with pain management, birth prep, birth trauma and healing post-partum. I am trained by THE Lynn Schulte with the Institute for Birth Healing. I also work with individuals with pelvic pain, including dyspareunia/ vulvodynia/ vaginismus, incontinence, urgency/ frequency, bowel dysfunction (constipation and incontinence) and more.
I have also been trained with Jessica Drummond and the Integrative Woman’s Health institute as a certified woman’s health coach.
